A direct support contact address will be published on this page before CalcVC is released on the App Store. It is deliberately not listed yet: we would rather publish nothing than an address that is not being monitored.
Which calculations does CalcVC perform?
One priced equity round. From a pre-money valuation and an investment amount it derives the post-money valuation, the new investor’s ownership percentage, and the aggregate dilution of existing holders. If you also enter an exit equity value, it derives exit proceeds and MOIC. The home page states the formulas in full.
Why is there no IRR?
IRR requires assumptions about timing that this calculator does not ask for. MOIC is a ratio of the numbers you actually entered, so it can be stated without inventing a holding period. IRR is not in this version.
Why no SAFEs, option pools, or liquidation preferences?
This version models one clean priced round and says so plainly. Option pools, SAFEs and convertibles, liquidation preferences, participating preferred, multiple sequential rounds, fees and taxes all change the answer, and none of them are accounted for here. If your round involves them, treat CalcVC’s figures as a simplified reference point rather than the answer.
Does the dilution figure show a founder’s dilution?
No. Existing holders are treated as one undifferentiated pool that owned 100% before the round, so the dilution figure is that pool’s reduction from 100%. There is no per-person cap table in this version.
Can I change currency? Does it convert?
You can choose from USD, EUR, GBP, INR, CHF, CAD, AUD, SGD, AED and JPY. The choice changes the label and symbol only. There is no exchange-rate conversion, so mixing currencies within one scenario will produce a meaningless result.
Will my scenarios move to my other device?
No. Scenarios are stored on the device where you created them. There is no iCloud sync or backup for them, and no Nuvya server holds a copy, so they will not automatically transfer to another device.
Does CalcVC need an internet connection or an account?
Neither. There is no account, and the core calculator works offline. See the privacy policy for the detail.
Is there a web version of the calculator?
No. This site describes the product; the calculator itself is the iOS app.
What does it cost?
This version is planned as a free app with no in-app purchases and no subscriptions.
Is CalcVC financial advice?
No. CalcVC performs arithmetic on figures you supply. It is a calculation and educational tool, not financial, investment, legal, tax, or professional advice, and its results are not predictions or guarantees of any investment outcome. Take professional advice before acting on a financing decision.
